CONTEXT:
Enhancing the value of your supplier audits during development and series life and improving their quality performance. Would you like to know how to :
- Assess a potential supplier before starting the contract.
- Assess the supplier responsible for developing products/processes during the project phase.
- Audit the quality performance of current suppliers.
- Validate a new manufacturing process at your supplier.
- Identify and eliminate the causes of a problem that was observed during production.
OBJECTIVES:
- Acquire second-party auditor skills.
- Preparing, conducting and completing an audit of a supplier.
- Be able to identify ways to enhance quality performance and risk control from the supplier.
- Evaluate the supplier's use of quality improvement tools.
- Know how to rate a manufacturing process in order to compare and/or qualify it.
- Understand how to use existing questionnaires.
- Be able to create your own questionnaire specific to the supplier/process to be audited.
PREREQUISITES:
To be an auditor for ISO 19011
SPECIFIC OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR REMOTE SESSIONS:
- Have a PC with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: background screens are available on Zoom or Teams to blur or hide the rear view.
- Have a good Internet connection, to be tested before the session.
- Be installed in a quiet, isolated place; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
- Participants from the same organization should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at his/ her own desk, to avoid any side discussions during the session. Virtual sub-groups will be specially created for the exercises, which will also enable mixed groups.
- Remote qualification/certification exams must be taken with a webcam and microphone open. We may also need to check that you are alone in the room.
- Please connect 5 minutes before the start of the session.
TRAINING METHOD:
- The training method implemented is based on cases encountered during audits. Concepts are approached through case studies before being systematically transposed to real cases resulting from the consultant and trainees' experience. The training is then very participative.
- The Crosby's Turtle method is employed to assess risks during the preparation phase of the audit, followed by the CAPDo® method to direct the audit towards focusing on performance.
