CONTEXT:

You want to: 

  • Improve the operational performance of your production facilities by reducing the risk of breakdowns or capacity loss. 
  • Optimize your preventive and predictive maintenance plans.  
  • Analyze the design of machines in partnership with the manufacturer. 
     

OBJECTIVES:

  • Apply the functional analysis methodology based on the technical specifications of the equipment. 
  • Understand and apply the Machinery FMEA method and steps to optimize the design of manufacturing equipment and minimize the risk of failure. 
  • Define the input data needed to draw up effective maintenance plans. 
  • Be able to carry out Machinery FMEA audit. 
     

PREREQUISITES: 

No prerequisites.
 

SPECIFIC OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR REMOTE SESSIONS:

  • Have a PC with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: background screens are available on Zoom or Teams to blur or hide the rear view.
  • Have a good Internet connection, to be tested before the session.
  • Be installed in a quiet, isolated place ; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams ; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
  • Participants from the same organization should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at his/ her own desk, to avoid any side discussions during the session. Virtual sub-groups will be specially created for the exercises, which will also enable mixed groups. 
  • Remote qualification/certification exams must be taken with camera and microphone open. We may also need to check that you are alone in the room.
  • Please connect 5 minutes before the start of the session.
     

TRAINING METHOD:

The training is based on a case study followed on a practical issue in the company or suggested by the trainer. 

Trainees identify the gaps between their company's current practices and FMEA best practices at each major phase of the methodology.

  • The core of the Machinery FMEA.

  • The rights and duties of the team.  
  • The overall management of the FMEA. 
  • The global approach in the company.
