CONTEXT:

You have just integrated your quality, environment, health and safety management systems and in order to improve them and evaluate their performance, you need to audit them. 

You need to develop the skills of existing internal auditors in quality and/or safety and/or the environment. 
 

OBJECTIVES:

  • Be able to prepare, conduct and complete an audit in accordance with the requirements of ISO 19011. 
  • Be able to audit according to the ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018 standards. 
  • Be able to consider regulatory requirements and other requirements applicable to the company. 
  • Adopt an integrated audit methodology based on the CAPDo® method. 
  • Preparing and conducting an audit of a QSE management system. 
  • Conduct a process audit focusing on process performance and efficiency. 
  • Assess the overall performance of the integrated management system. 
     

PREREQUISITES: 

  • Have been trained in / or have practical experience on ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001. 
  • Participant must have the 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018 standards documentations, as they are is not provided during the training. 
     

TRAINING METHOD:

This training course is based on the culture of performance measurement, the interpretation of KPI and the analysis of risks linked to activities, so that the audit can be used as a genuine tool for continuous improvement. 

Onsite session: based on the principle of training-action, this course includes practical application in the field, enabling participants to test their audit techniques in real-life situations. 

Open session: practical application on a case study, where trainees alternate between the auditee and auditor roles. 

 

TRAINING PROGRAM:

  1. The concept of an integrated QSE management system:                                                                                 •    The fundamentals of an integrated QSE management system. 
    •    Joint control of QSE risks through the process approach. 
  2. How an internal audit is conducted using the process approach: 
    •    The CAPDo® method. 
    •    The Crosby’s turtle method. 
  3. Preparing for the on-site audit: 
    •    The standards, an aid in preparing for the audit. 
    •    Taking regulatory and other applicable requirements into account.                                                        •    Preparing on-site audits :  
      •    Design of the audit scenario and questionnaire.                                                                                             •    Validation by the trainer before the on-site audit.  
  4. Conduct the on-site audit in pairs:
    •    Observation of compliance with audit techniques by the trainer and participants. 
    •    Debriefing with all the participants on how the audits went: the trainer presents and comments on the      results of his assessment of the audits.                                                                                    
    •    Preparation and validation of audit reports.                                                                                  •    Preparation of feedback to the audited parties. 
  5. Preparation of feedback to the audited parties.                                                                                 •    Presentation of the strengths and weaknesses identified by each pair of auditors.                                         •    Reaching a consensus with the auditees.                                                                                                Debriefing between the participants and the trainer.

Participant file containing the training material and exercises. Training materials in digital format are made available to trainees a few days before the course.
