CONTEXT:

You wish to:

  • Facilitate your FMEA in an effective way.
  • Find the levers to motivate your employees to take part in FMEAs.
  • Know how to audit FMEAs and find areas for improvement.

 

OBJECTIVES:

  • Identify ways to improve individual and collective FMEA practices.
  • Identify the key success factors in terms of methodology and effective FMEA animation.
  • Understand the FMEA key issues and know how to self-assess.
  • Know how to facilitate an FMEA working group using effective leadership.
  • Understand the key roles.

 

PREREQUISITE:

Be trained on AIAG VDA FMEA method, and have conducted FMEA analysis.

SPECIFIC OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR REMOTE SESSIONS:

  • Have a PC with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: background screens are available on Zoom or Teams to blur or hide the rear view.
  • Have a good Internet connection, to be tested before the session.
  • Be installed in a quiet, isolated place ; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams ; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
  • Participants from the same organization should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at his/ her own desk, to avoid any side discussions during the session. Virtual sub-groups will be specially created for the exercises, which will also enable mixed groups. 
  • Remote qualification/certification exams must be taken with camera and microphone open. We may also need to check that you are alone in the room.
  • Please connect 5 minutes before the start of the session.

 

TRAINING METHOD:

The trainees identify the best practices of FMEA at each major step of the methodology:

  • Open session: instruction based on a case study.
  • In-house session: instruction based on a company-specific case study selected with TRIGO. Preparation prior to the training course enables the situational exercises to be adapted on the basis of the company's FMEA documents, and the sequences to be adjusted according to the needs of the participants (product FMEA and/or process FMEA).

 

TRAINING PROGRAM:

  1. The key factors for success in the planning phase.
  2. Key roles within the FMEA team (team composition, key roles, rights, and duties, etc.).
  3. Key methodological success factors.
  4. The key success factors for facilitation (time management, ground rules, decision making, etc.).
  5. Sustain the results of the FMEA.
  6. Actions to be taken to develop or improve FMEA facilitation.

 

EVALUATION METHOD:

The trainer assesses the trainees' ability to apply the principles and tools taught by using practical exercises / or Knowledge test (Multi Choice Questions)

TRAINING MATERIALS:

Participant file with presentations delivered during the course and exercise materials. Training materials in digital format are made available to trainees a few days before the course.
