CONTEXT:

You want to manage your new product/process development projects efficiently.
You are interested in identifying the requirements of the car manufacturers that you need to meet.
You want your project management process to comply with the AIAG manuals (2024 Edition)

 

OBJECTIVES:

  • Be able to understand the principles related to the implementation of the automotive project management methodology.
  • Be prepared to plan a new product/process project.
  • Know how to manage the internal implementation of project management. 

 

PREREQUISITES:

No prerequisite

 

SPECIFIC OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR REMOTE SESSIONS:

  • Have a PC with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: background screens are available on Zoom or Teams to blur or hide the rear view.
  • Have a good Internet connection, to be tested before the session.
  • Be installed in a quiet, isolated place; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
  • Participants from the same organization should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at his/ her own desk, to avoid any side discussions during the session. Virtual sub-groups will be specially created for the exercises, which will also enable mixed groups. 
  • Remote qualification/certification exams must be taken with camera and microphone open. We may also need to check that you are alone in the room.
  • Please connect 5 minutes before the start of the session.

 

TRAINING METHOD:

The training outlines and clarifies the project process, the interactions between the various tools, and the requirements and criteria for each milestone.
This training emphases on APQP project management.

 

COURSE PROGRAM:

  1. The basic principles of project management (APQP Phases, Deliverables at each Phase, Project Team)
  2. Phase I: Planning: Project risk assessment, Project scheduling adapted to the risks.
  3. Phase II: Product Design / Development: Special Characteristic, DFMEA, Poka Yoke, change management.
  4. Phase III: Design / Development of Manufacturing Processes: Manufacturing flow diagram, PFMEA, Control plan
  5. Phase IV: Product / Process Validation: PPAP process, Product-Process qualification, Contingency plan.
  6. Phase V: Serial life: Ramp up, monitor and measure manufacturing processes, improve Manufacturing Processes, ensure on-time deliveries.
  7. The key Success Factors for managing a project according to APQP
