CONTEXT:
A disruption, disaster or incident can jeopardise your organisation and customer relations, so you want to:
- Identify potential threats and their impact on your business.
- Know how to anticipate and manage risks and improve your organisation's resilience.
- Implement an effective Business Continuity Management System and integrate it with the processes of your Quality Management System.
- Prepare for third-party certification of your Business Continuity Management System in accordance with ISO22301.
OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the expectations of the IS0 22301 standard.
- Identify the roles and responsibilities associated with business continuity management.
- Know how to build a business continuity management system in conjunction with your quality management system.
- Check the effectiveness of your business continuity management system.
PREREQUISITES:
Global vision of the company or at least of the process concerned by the implementation of a BCP (Business Continuity Plan).
SPECIFIC OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR REMOTE SESSIONS:
- Have a PC with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: background screens are available on Zoom or Teams to blur or hide the rear view.
- Have a good Internet connection, to be tested before the session.
- Be installed in a quiet, isolated place; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
- Participants from the same organization should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at his/ her own desk, to avoid any side discussions during the session. Virtual sub-groups will be specially created for the exercises, which will also enable mixed groups.
- Remote qualification/certification exams must be taken with camera and microphone open. We may also need to check that you are alone in the room.
- Please connect 5 minutes before the start of the session.
TRAINING METHOD:
Throughout the training course, participants are encouraged to take part in group activities directly linked to their operational concerns. Numerous exchanges and consolidation of work (including after in-house implementation) help to ensure that shared concepts, tools and good practice are taken on board. The simplicity and logic of the common thread used throughout the training ensure a real understanding of the issues involved in the appropriate application of Business Continuity Management.
Internally, the training can be tailored to the specific needs, difficulties and challenges of the company.

TRAINING PROGRAM:
- Initial session: 2 days
- Why implement a Business Continuity Management System?
- The ISO 22301 requirements for the implementation of a Business Continuity Management System (BCP): Concrete examples / good practices for the implementation of the BCP.
- The link with the other management systems and processes of your organisation.
- Identification of priority areas for progress in your organisation.
- Remote closing session (approximately 3 months after phase 1): 0,5 day
- Sharing of improvements implemented and feedback following the training.
- Reinforcement of key problem areas.
EVALUATION METHOD:
Knowledge test (MCQ) + Sharing of practices implemented afterwards
SKILLS VALIDATION:
Training qualification certificate.
TRAINING MATERIALS:
Participant file containing the training material and exercises. Audit report template.
In-house session: + ½ day of preparation: preparation with the laboratory manager to target the audit topics carried out, the conditions for organising these audits and the adaptations of the materials to the company’s topics and the duration of the training as required.
Training materials in digital format are made available to trainees a few days before the course.
