Managers assigned as Champions or Sponsors of a 6 Sigma project.
CONTEXT:
You want your managers to guarantee the strategic objectives achieved through Six Sigma projects and to fully understand their role as Six Sigma project champions:
Upstream, to identify opportunities for Six Sigma projects, define the exact scope of each project in a formal charter, and identify the resources needed to ensure the success of Six Sigma projects.
Throughout the project, to validate the transition from milestones to DMAIC steps, and to support the Six Sigma teams.
Afterwards, to verify the sustainability of the results and identify other opportunities for related Six Sigma projects.
OBJECTIVES:
- Understand its role in relation to the executive committee and Six Sigma project teams.
- Identify opportunities for Six Sigma projects.
- Define the Six Sigma project charter (purpose, objectives, resources, aids and constraints).
- Know how to monitor, evaluate and guide teams in the development / execution of their improvement projects.
- Know how to conduct progress reviews of a Six Sigma team at the various DMAIC milestones.
- Understand your role as Champion after the end of a Six Sigma project.
PREREQUISITES:
No prerequisite.
SPECIFIC OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR REMOTE SESSIONS:
- Have a PC with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: background screens are available on Zoom or Teams to blur or hide the rear view.
- Have a good Internet connection, to be tested before the session.
- Be installed in a quiet, isolated place ; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams ; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
- Participants from the same organization should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at his/ her own desk, to avoid any side discussions during the session. Virtual sub-groups will be specially created for the exercises, which will also enable mixed groups.
- Remote qualification/certification exams must be taken with camera and microphone open. We may also need to check that you are alone in the room.
- Please connect 5 minutes before the start of the session.
TRAINING METHOD:
