RECOMMENDED FOR:

  • This training course is aimed at all those who wish to discover or better understand the content and how to build a control plan, and who participate in the launch of manufacturing series, in particular those involved in planning, quality assurance and process auditing.

CONTEXT:

The Control Plan continues to be an ongoing point of audit non-conformances during IATF audits and is consistently in both the top ten major and minor non-conformances as identified by the International Automotive Oversight Bureau (IAOB).
The Control Plan manual edited in 2024 includes Lessons Learned from escapes during both Product Launch and Serial Production.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the role of the Control plan and its importance in the distribution of resources, in order to assure that the requests of the client regarding the product’s characteristics are fulfilled.
  • Be able to build a control plan that will help you to communicate the testing methods to control the product and process, the means that are used and the reaction plan in case of non-conformance detected.
  • Understand why Control Plan is also a good methodology for quality planning, quality assurance and quality control which is used as long as the product is manufactured.
  • Understand the three types of monitoring plans: Prototype, Pre-launch, Series production.
  • Understand how to deal with special characteristics and/or pass-through characteristics.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Knowledge of AIA-VDA PFMEA
  • Have of a computer (In house : at least one computer for every 3 participants)

SPECIFIC OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR REMOTE SESSIONS:

  • Have a PC with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: background screens are available on Zoom or Teams to blur or hide the rear view.
  • Have a good Internet connection, to be tested before the session.
  • Be installed in a quiet, isolated place ; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams ; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
  • Participants from the same organization should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at his/ her own desk, to avoid any side discussions during the session. Virtual sub-groups will be specially created for the exercises, which will also enable mixed groups.
  • Remote qualification/certification exams must be taken with camera and microphone open. We may also need to check that you are alone in the room.
  • Please connect 5 minutes before the start of the session.

TRAINING METHOD:

The trainees identify the best practices of Control Plan at each major step of the methodology:

  • Open session: application on a case study.
  • In-house session: application on a company-specific case study selected with TRIGO.

TRAINING PROGRAM:

  1. The challenges of the control plan
  2. Creating the control plan: what information should be included under which heading and links with other documents
  3. The different types of control plan: prototype, pre-production, production
  4. Monitoring the control plan: improving control plans
  5. Conclusion

EVALUATION METHOD:

Knowledge test (Multi Choice Questions)

SKILL VALIDATION:
