CONTEXT:
- You want to improve your purchasing process to source, evaluate and manage your current and future suppliers effectively.
- You want to develop a win-win relationship with your suppliers.
OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the issues involved in managing suppliers.
- Identifying the roles and responsibilities associated with managing suppliers and their performance.
- Understand best practice in supplier relationship management with a view to integrating it into your organisation.
- Understanding the different types of contractual requirements.
- Identifying/Analysing/Mitigating risks at the various stages of the customer-supplier relationship.
- Knowing how to measure your suppliers' performance.
- Know how to establish a win-win relationship with suppliers with a view to continuous improvement.
PREREQUISITES:
Experience in Purchasing / Supply Quality.
SPECIFIC OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR REMOTE SESSIONS:
- Have a PC with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: background screens are available on Zoom or Teams to blur or hide the rear view.
- Have a good Internet connection, to be tested before the session.
- Be installed in a quiet, isolated place; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
- Participants from the same organization should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at his/ her own desk, to avoid any side discussions during the session. Virtual sub-groups will be specially created for the exercises, which will also enable mixed groups.
- Remote qualification/certification exams must be taken with a webcam and microphone open. We may also need to check that you are alone in the room.
- Please connect 5 minutes before the start of the session.
TRAINING METHOD:
- Throughout the training course, participants are encouraged to take part in group activities that are directly linked to their operational concerns. Numerous exchanges and consolidation of work (including after in-house implementation) help to promote the appropriation of shared concepts, tools and good practice.
- The simplicity and logic of the common case study used throughout the course ensure a real understanding of the issues involved in the appropriate application of Supply Chain Management.
- The course can be customised to suit the specific needs, difficulties and challenges of your company.
TRAINING PROGRAM:
Phase 1: Initial training
- The basics of supplier management.
- Best practices in evaluating and selecting suppliers.
- Best practices in implementing contractual relationships.
- Best practices in supplier performance management.
- Risk management at the various stages of the customer-supplier relationship.
- Some sector specificities (Aeronautics - RM13007, Automotive, ...).
- Identifying priority areas for improvement within your organisation.
Phase 2: Remote follow-up (2 to 3 months later): Sharing with trainees the improvements implemented and return of experiments following the training.
EVALUATION METHOD:
Knowledge test (Multi Choice Questions) + Sharing of practices implemented afterwards.

TRAINING MATERIALS:
Participant file containing the training material and exercises. Training materials in digital format are made available to trainees a few days before the course.
